WebIt is generally associated with IgE antibodies to environmental allergens to which susceptible animals are genetically predisposed to become sensitized. Diagnosis is based on clinical signs, history, and exclusion of other causes of pruritis. Treatment includes medications and baths that relieve pruritis and avoidance of allergens.
